In Chapter 1: examples don't resonate with me, always people who worked insane hours up to severe physical illness (vomiting blood or anemia and flu like symptoms for almost a year, ...). Can easily see why those ppl aren't lazy but what about normal 40 hours (or less) work week people, people in part time jobs (who aren't parents).
So far cannot see anything resembling my situation (or non US situation as per German law, you cannot work more than 10 hours/day as employee and even that is restricted per year)

Very repetetive, constantly postulating that people overworl because they fear being lazy.

In chapter 2 some other examples but no new-to-me information.

I think I didn't enjoy this because I expected something else. I had just finished reading another one of Price's books, Unmasking Autism, and I assumed that this would go more into something like, "those with ASD, ADHD, and similar neurotypes are often stereotyped as 'not applying themselves' or 'lazy,'" and subsequently diving into the roots of this, debunking this, and adding commentary. As Unmasking Autism covered a wide breadth of topics, Laziness Does Not Exist would hone in on one.

As someone who's been in therapy for a long time and has tackled subjects like these and already knows about how Puritanism has really fucked with our senses of morality, it just wasn't that interesting. If you aren't familiar with that, though, it could be an interesting read.
