This one was a fun ride - I really enjoyed reading the 2nd book more than the 1st one.

Lily was kind of irritating to me in the first book but in this one, she seemed matured in a sense and I'm glad to know just like Lily - Mr. Ambrose also doesn't think about anything else when it comes to her, oh man he is so whipped for her.

The perception of feminism is portrayed wrong in this book which I do not liked at all - Lily thinks that being a feminist it is wrong to have feelings for men but it is not and whatever she feels or does in the name of feminism is actually pseudo-feminism which I hope the author make Lily realize it in the future.

Captain Carter was a fresh air - I hope he gets a good happy ending as things are definitely not going to work out with Lily - but I do like a jealous Mr. Ambrose. I laughed a lot throughout the story - and the banters between Lily & Mr. Ambrose were everything ❤️

truth be told... i allready forgot half of what happened in this book. It keeps feeling like a crazy dream that's lowkey so funny and you wan't to find out what happens, but also, it is so weird like,,,, ,hmsfjskdlfsjd
so im rlly sorry if i forgot some trigger warnings :/
this review will be spoiler free :) lets goooooo

let's start w characters again bcs that's what i tend to care abt the most in books heheh. I liked Lilly the same amount as I did in the previous book, she didn't much change, which is impossible to say abt any other character they are so inconsistent lmao (but at the same time they don't have any positive development or grow into better people?? :')) im giving lilly a 6,5 for not annoying me alot and giving me that angsty content ! Dick gets a 5 i am ashamed to admit he is lOwkey growing on me or maybe these characters just brainwashed me idk
captain tiger waistcoat rlly disappointed me in this one :((( he was reduced to a simple plot device i don't like to see it; 1/10. Youssef was great I liked his mix of proffesionalism and sharing looks with Lilly bcs they are both annoyed by their employers' stupidity. He get's an 8 because he is not very developed but i hope we will see more of him. Deaf grandma was iconic !!! she'd get 10/10 but im reducing one point bcs she is a cheap plot device and that's v uncreative of u mr thier... so 9 for this baddie it is.

The writing *blushes in emberassement* was kinda inproving in some places, some lines actually slapped! :o
the pacing was way faster and more consistent in this one as well, but the plot was still all over the place (here for it though hehe).

now the elephant in the room sdmlkfjsd THE ROMANCE !!
we have been SERVED we have been FED SO WELL ahahahah we got all that angsty and pining and seksy content (no smut but some interesting scenes hmmMmmM) and yeah i was here for ittt
i feel like this installement was even more heavy on the romance and their dynamic and im not complaining.

i have nothing else to say for myself except i allready downloaded book 3 on my ereader and you may expect another review from me soon BYE
