This book series continues to be incredible. Brand and Rune are wonderful character’s who actually learn and grow and change. Rune started the first book good at what he does and willing to work with exactly one other person. Brand started with 0 trust for anyone outside of his head. By the end of this book, they are both willing to share love and teamwork and family with all those that they surround themselves with. The continued ominous warnings of dark futures entice without taking away the gravity of what just passed. Overall, an excellent exploration of what it means to have power and trust in a world that seeks to steal both.

an amazing sequel to an amazing series.
also, turns out there are going to be nine books in this sequence. i am so ready.

i really want to know what rune has been hiding from everyone the night that his court fell.

this had just the same amount of action, humor, and love that makes a book perfect.
it was hilarious to see rune saint john interacting with children.
once again, brandon saint john steals the show as literature's funniest character. he and rune are a dream team and nothing, literally nothing, can tear them apart.
addam saint nicholas being as considerate and perfect ever. i love him and rune so much. addam is so understanding and kind and fierce and loving. perfect character.
quinn saint nicholas and max saint valentine are the best friends dynamic crazy duo and i'm all for it.
we meet anna and she is lowkey scary but highkey precious.
i loved meeting the arcana and lady death. especially when rune and brand called her sister.
so many cute moments. an amazing book and i cannot wait for the third book. i'd do anything for that third book.
