I read the original story a few years ago and now I plan to reread it after reading this! I need the second one ASAP.

I've never read the original book this is based off of. The only thing I've read by Rainbow Rowell is their Carry On series. ...which ended up being great because it's referenced here. I think I need to figure out how Rainbow Rowell lore works haha. I just picked up this manga because I was bored. I ended up loving it and it has made me want to read the actual book as well.

A highly condensed version of the novel Fangirl. If you are like me and have people in your life who don't normally read 400+ pages then maybe recommend this manga to them. Overall though if you where to choose between the book and the manga I'd choose the book.

The scenes and characters are exactly how I pictured them. Abel was definitely different then how I pictured him honestly looked like a recycled Levi which was okay I get it Abel was a side character. Cath's dad looked somewhat how I pictured him but not quite. I always pictured him with more gray hair and it to be more disheveled. Overall I'm enjoying the story so far.

If you are wondering how much Vol. 1 covers, the manga ends at Cath getting a phone call from Wren who is at a bar.
