An excellent read. I loved the combination of science with the great authenticity of the author's narration of her trip to a higher emotional and physical wellbeing. This makes it informative, enjoyable and genuine at the same time.

I really enjoyed this book. It was part heavy duty science book and part biography. I love how she summarized each chapter at the end and the section of brain hacks in each chapter was very useful. I will be looking for more research to read on exercise / healthy brain connection. Very interested in this especially in how it relates to depression.

A good first effort by someone who is really into her subject. Worth a scan. The author has an engaging style and tried her best to make neuroplasticity accessible. Could have used a bit more editing to avoid repetition in a couple of places but overall, pretty good.

Part memoir, part science, part entertaining, part thought provoking. If you're up on being present, have realized the way moving your body helps you think things out, know the importance of good friends and the impact they have on your quality of life, some studies in this book won't surprise you. Might not stop you liking it, though!
And it may well contain a fact or hack you haven't met yet. I found it engaging, loved that it provided yet more validation for play time, busted the myth that we only use 10% of our brain, had some foodie moments, and went through the brain vs hormones when falling in love.
