I've been looking for a good thriller for the past six months. This book is it! It was a little too long and had way too many characters. I was only able to follow it by keeping notes. I still don't know why one thing happened, but I don't feel the need to reread the chapter to find out that one thing. Some things didn't need to be included, but it doesn't hurt the overall story. This isn't a funny book, but the one funny line: "We couldn't be sure. We took some gummies." was great.
I'm looking forward to reading more from Lisa Unger.

I wanted to like this but it was't well-written enough to make up for the fact that it was pretty predictable. Plot aside, most of the characters felt underdeveloped and generic and all but a couple were pretty unlikable in a way that wasn't even interesting. I finished it because I kept thinking it would go somewhere and by the time I accepted it wasn't going to I was pretty far in. Maybe would be more enjoyable for someone who rarely reads mysteries and isn't in the mood for much of a thinker?

When a group of people go to a vacation house for the weekend, they never dream that it could unravel their lives.

This book kept me interested in the plot, but wasn’t anything special. I found it semi-predictable and a little heavy on the concept of “family”. The ending also dragged on a little long.

I liked Henry’s story arc the best, which was only a small portion of the whole thing.
