Wow, I thought this book was amazing! Once I got started it was hard to put down. I loved the characters and plot of the story. I thought it was imaginative and beautifully written. I love the duel timeline of the book where it goes back and forth between the summer of 1979 and the summer of 1999 where our main character Jackie goes to her uncle's place first to spend the summer with him and his family and friends in 79' to Jackie inheriting the property in 99' after her aunt dies. This book is full of mystery and unsolved family history. I also love how this book was created by a history of a song the author heard. Plus I love the Spotify link at the end of the book to the playlist of Jackie and her cousin Willa's songs that each loved and fits their personalities.
Moderate: Death, Domestic abuse, Drug use, and Death of parent
