This book drags on and on. It doesn't entirely feel necessary either because I feel like I read the same scenes over and over again. Lydia wants her independence. Rhett struggles with giving it to her. We have that same argument over and over again. Lydia threatens to leave. She doesn't. Then talks about how the urge to run is there again. She doesn't. She threatens to leave again. She does leave but just for a chapter and then all is quickly resolved. Why does the book drag out so much? because apparently there is an unnecessary third book. If this book didn't flip flop SO MUCH and repeat scenes then there wouldn't be a need for a third book.

I’m gonna say this for this whole series… the story has me hooked. I get it, it’s Wattpad level writing… she over uses the same sentences and words but she knows how to keep you hooked in a story line

i wanted to love this as much as book 1, and for the most part i did! but it felt like every other chapter has some major drama or development in the darren/seth case, and at a certain point i started to get anxious about what could happen next. it felt like no one was allowed to be truly happy in this book at any point in time.

i’m hoping to see more lex x lydia in book 3 because hello? how are you in love with her when you’ve avoided her for 75% of the series so far? i need to know more. and will lex and mateo ever fuck it out? come on now. the tension is insane.

The ending!!
Ugh, this was definitely more dramatic than the first book but I loved it. There were things that needed to get out in the open and emotions are messy, sometimes people have to fall apart to strengthen their relationship.
I am just going to cry in a corner waiting for the next book.
