This review is both for the book and the series overall. I really liked the premise of this series. That being said by the end of the series - this book especially - I was so annoyed by the FMC I almost didnāt finish. The authors constant switching between names and nicknames when there are so many characters was trying by the end.

What in the FUCK was that cliffhanger. Oh My God. This series is just magic. Iām so mad that I have to wait to find out what happens but that just shows the investment I have in this story.
I just love everyone in this dysfunctional but perfect love bubble.. even Faris the total crazy pants!! God the spice in this series is just HOT.
I need more. I canāt wait!!

Well. Britt has done it again. And by done it again, I mean she has taken my fist into her little author hand and crushed it with a cliffhanger! The books in this series just continue to get better and I am absolutely in love with Saige and her harem. Many of the relationships were solidified in this book, but I also got to enjoy some new connections being made and I am here to tell you I ship them ALL! The storyline and drama increased in this book and was so engaging that I lost sleep trying to read more. I will be waiting desperately for the fifth book!

Much like how I felt reading this book, my review is likely going to be all over the place. In short, this book was a letdown. Like others have said, there is a lot that happens in this book and much of them left me reeling throughout most of the book. If I had to tell you right now what happened I would honestly struggle with recalling everything. Letās start with what I liked about the book and then move along into my critiques.
What I liked:
- The relationship between Saige and her men is growing more interesting and feels very natural. With the addition of Farris and Bram, it surprisingly doesnāt feel overwhelming to me reading about 6 guys. Saige does a great job of giving each guy attention and together they have cultivated a very welcoming environment where they all (very clearly) care for each other. When reverse harem is done right, this is how it should be!
- This goes without saying, but Britt can write a damn good sex scene! This book was heavier on the MM and there was more exploring in this book between the guys, which was interesting. In a lot of RH the guys donāt feel open enough to explore a sexual relationship with one another, so this was a new take and pretty interesting to read about. I think this will help strengthen their bond and I look forward to seeing it progress more in the next book.
What I didnāt like:
- Gran. At first she was this quirky old woman that I could laugh with and helped break up some serious moments, but now Iām just over it. I think having a best friend is a great addition to this story but I canāt stand that these quirky characters just end up being written in an obnoxious, childish way. I donāt want to have to cringe my way through a book all because the MCs grandmother wonāt stop making out of pocket sexual jokes or comments. Itās just too much for me and I prefer seeing her as this badass witch, not as someone who jokes about how hot her granddaughters boyfriends are.
- The nicknames. If I had to pick one thing to change it would be this, hands down. Honorable mentions are: Peen witch, grumpy buttlord and guppy. The first two are just obnoxious and the latter is a nickname that, if I have to read during one more sex scene, will be the cause of me not reading this series anymore. Characters that use this kind of language come off as adolescent to me, and there is nothing adolescent about having 6 boyfriends (or anything else in this book, for that matter). Every time something like this was mentioned I was taken completely out of the book. Can Saige stick to something sexier for guppy at least? Hell Iād take āFishā over guppy, just anything else.
- This is the fourth book in the series and, like previously mentioned, a ton happens in each book. I would have LOVED to see a brief synopsis of where we last left off, rather than jumping right in and having to struggle to get myself back into the story. Sure, if youāre reading this immediately after following the previous book this isnāt bad, but if you took a break and came back to this story it would be super helpful to have a quick refresher. Just a thought that I hope Britt implements in her next book!
Overall this book was sexy, fast-paced, and has a lot going for it, but with all of the chaos and the nicknames I think itās highly likely that Iām going to sit out of reading the next one.
