*Disclaimer: I didn't realize this was a series and I ended up in the middle of it*
Not what I expected for sure. The plot was fairly thin with minimal motivation for the shallow characters. It felt like the plot was just there to support the sex scenes the author wanted to write.

I usually love fairy tale retellings, but this was not compelling enough.

Some people recommended I read some of her books so I picked this one up today in the library before work. It was rather too short for my liking but I enjoyed it very much. Some of the language didn't quite fit with the setting, but I like the way it wove in several fairy stories and reached for more realistic ideas of what fairytales might really be like if you lived in one. Well worth reading.

Beautiful story. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the other books in the series. Cinderella at first made me mad the way she was acting but in the end she stopped being selfish and totally made me fall in love with her.

This book was certainly MORE interesting and LESS sexual than the first book in the trilogy, Poison, which to me is such a huge improvement. These stories go hand in hand and Charm is a direct sequel to Poison told from the perspective of Cinderella.
I appreciated the many crossover characters in new roles such as the huntsman as Cinderella’s footman and the Queen as the fairy godmother. I also enjoyed the connection to the Queen’s grandmother (watch from Hansel and Gretel) who was eating children from the town this story took place in.
This book was definitely the better of the first two and the twist at the end was completely unexpected. However, I’m glad to see the inclusivity of LGBTQ+ in fairy tale retellings. I’m intrigued to learn more about the mysterious man and the deal he made with the prince in the last book.

This book was so entertaining I loved how she twisted the fairytales and the ending was so unexpected I loved it. All the different links and the characters from the first book. I can't wait to read the thirds. Also lesbian queens I mean yes just yes.
