Absolutely beautiful, thoughtful book. I cried quite a few times.

This was my favorite book of the series!  There were more mentions of the characters from the previous 2 books, so while it could be read as a stand-alone, it was so much better because I had read the first 2 books.  Loveable characters with a sweet, long-distance romance and conflicts in their professional lives surrounded by a fun, supportive cast of secondary characters.

After finishing this series, I can wholeheartedly say that Jenny Colgan is one of my new favorite authors. I want to give everyone in this book a big hug and live in this little town.

I don't know quite how to describe this book.  My library has categorized it as a romance and I don't think that's accurate.  I think that it is more about the growth of these two people put in a new situation than it is their romance.
They are apart for most of the book and although they are communicating, it is all work based.  It does allow them to get to know each others' personalities, but they don't even seem to realize that they are interested in each other romantically until the very end.
I felt like the book ended fairly abruptly and
I would have liked to see more of their relationship once they met.
