this almost made me break my “no dnf’ing” rule. i spent most of the time listening to this book just so frustrated!! i only read this because weeks ago i was #emo but the hold on libby was long so i could only start it now and maybe i wasn’t in the right state of mind to read this (meaning i was too normal and happy) but i feel like this should be a good read ESPECIALLY to those in better mindsets to show what it’s like!!

i feel bad for disliking this book so much and it was almost a 1 star review (ESPECIALLY DURING THST FUCKING CONCERT SCENE AT THE VERY END I HATE PUTTING THE SPOILER WARNING ON MY REVIEWS SO I WON’T SAY MORE BUT!! GOD!!!!!) but then the author had her sweet little note at the end and mentioned how she’s struggled with sh and then i felt bad 😭 just goes to show everyone’s relationship with it is different! hope she found her peace writing this 🫡

It’s not often at all that books make me emotional, but this one did. It is so incredibly heavy, dark and sad, but it is also beautiful and hopeful at times. Although I can’t relate to most of the content on a personal level, I fully empathise with the characters and situations throughout. This book was so well written, really enjoyed the wave of emotions I went through, in a bitter sweet way.
