honestly…. this is one of those books that was perfect as an audiobook for me to have while i was doing something else. yes, there were some heavier topics discussed but i simply didn’t care enough about the characters to want to invest in them. i did just sit and listen to the audiobook for the first seven hours so you can’t even fault me on that. i will definitely hesitate to pick up another of this author’s books but i will keep in mind that this was her debut. check triggers before you read.

Classic rom-com, fanfic style. Which is what I expected when I started the book.
I enjoy when books switch between characters perspectives, but didn’t like the writing style used for Leon.
SpoilerI did get used to it in the end and I understand that it kind of showed off his personality in a way, but I still would’ve preferred full grammatically correct sentences.
I also think the JW story line was a bit pointless? I definitely felt for them in the end, but I also didn’t care enough for it to make my heart hurt.

Overall I did really enjoy this book.

that epilogue was so perfect i read it 2 mins ago and i am in awe
this was so good i loved the characters and the side plots as well as the main, it really took the one bed trope to the extreme and it couldnt have been more amazing, i love beth o'learys writing it feels so homely to me

I have been sleeping on this quirky adult rom-com for far too long because I freaking adored this.

Is the premise rather out there with some wacky characters that you can’t help but become endeared to? Yeppers.

Leon was a fucking dreamboat.

Watching Tiffy take control of her life in the face of a freshly ended emotionally abusive relationship was so fulfilling.

And all of the supporting cast fit their roles to a T.

I even dipped my toe into the audiobook near the end and then had to go back and listen to parts that I had already read because the narrators were that good.

This hit me in all the feel-good places that I needed it to when I picked it up, so if you want a mood-boost read of the romance variety this is a perfect choice.

I absolutely loved this book. I'm a comfort reader, so I love a good fluffy romance novel, and this was exactly that. It was so sweet, and I found myself rooting for Tiffy and Leon right from the get-go. I'm usually enjoy some angst, but this, while containing some triggering topics (emotional abuse and stalking), was very cosy and heart-warming.
