This was an interesting read, the art was absolutely amazing and the main reason for my picking up this book. The story was really cool as well, I liked the religious aspect as we don't get that in many graphic novels. The ending I feel like was a little too short for my liking.

I want to give this books 6 stars for the illustrations and 5 for the basic idea. It really was one of the most beautiful children’s books we’ve read. The story was a little too inexplicably creepy, though. We don’t mind creepy in our house, but creepy without a point (I think there was a point — just not one that was at all clear to the intended audience here) is just too confusing. The kids didn’t like it, and we probably won’t read it again. For that reason it hovers between a 3 and 4.

GORGEOUS artwork!! Had a Miyazaki vibe with all the strange, blobby, fantastical creatures. I would have given this 5 stars if it were longer, but it ended way too quick.
