Mine to Keep by Kennedy L. Mitchell

This is a bit too much focus on the relationship and not the mystery. Plus the FMC is portrayed as so dumb. I’m sorry but when
she’s supposed to be an FBI agent and she gets scared, so she crawls to the male’s room swinging her gun around like a laser pointer? That’s not how agents treat firearms
and that’s where I just had to stop. I’m all for a steamy read but when everything about the case ties back to that - I’m just rolling my eyes.
There’s also the fact that they just don’t seem like they know what they’re doing in terms of the case  - the way they’re profiling the murderer - he’s older cause “older men are good at sex” made me cringe so bad.

Mine to Keep
Protection Series
By: Kennedy L. Mitchell
Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Maxine Mitchell

Another winning romantic suspense for my ears! Kennedy L Mitchell made my Sunday fly by with Mine to Keep. This is a story that captured my attention, as I love to get into the mind of serial killers. The process that profilers go through is so interesting, and with Rhyan and Charlie's budding romance as well, I was captivated! As more and more women are showing up dead, these two team up to find the killer. Someone interested in cheating spouses? Is that the clue? Could be, but there is so much more to look at. With Charlie's hacker skills and Rhyan ability to climb into the head of a killer, these two should be unstoppable. Then why can't they find who it is? As the bedroom begins to sizzle, plans formed and a deadline lurking, we get to see exactly how it all pans out! Get ready for twists and turns that are unexpected and completely change the course! Love this story!

Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell are fabulous whenever I hear them. Together they are even better! Hamilton is arrogant, tattooed, hacker Charlie with all the attitude and all the swooniness. He is the kind of man wanted to both love and protect. Mitchell is in Rhyan's head, and gives all her past a little room to let us understand her. Then she provides her future feelings and we get all the feels. These two give it all, bravery, fear, surprise, and love bringing it all together for a fantastic listen!

Two damaged FBI agents grow closer while hunting a serial killer. He's a tattooed and pierced bad boy with a heart of gold, and she's a sweet, brilliant profiler with anxiety issues. He sees the real her and is very patient with her, and she grows and gains confidence from him. I loved that their romance stems from that, random bouts of lust aside, and they have a solid friendship.

They have great chemistry and there's a lot of genuine respect, tender care and some seriously cute moments. And there's no lack of passion or heat between them; they really steam up the pages when they get to it. He pushes her boundaries (in and out of bed) but takes so much care in consent and communication. They're my fav couple of the series so far! The whodunnit is solid, I enjoyed the unraveling of the case. But I wished the epilogue was more solid!

This book was so good and spicy! I was not prepared for how relatable Rhyan’s character was! The damage that comes from a relationship with a narcissist runs deep and can take a long time to heal. Charlie’s support and TLC (spankings

I enjoyed Rhyan and Charlie's story.  this whole series so far is awesome. If you like shows like Criminal Minds you will like these books.  I am not the best at writing reviews, but I have made a promise to myself that if I feel book, I read is 4 or 5 stare reads I would leave a review.

Mine to Keep is the fourth book in the Protection series by Kennedy L. Mitchell. I recently discovered this series, and I am loving it! They are packed with suspense, have swoon-worthy alpha men, and confident and bold women. Each book can be read as a standalone but once you read one you will definitely want to read them all. Mine to Keep was fast-paced, easy to read, and it had my undivided attention from the beginning. I loved seeing all the characters again and I was so excited for Charlie’s story. We meet Charlie in the previous books and his character was charismatic and cocky so it was nice to see him actually meet a woman he could show his vulnerable side to. He really understood Rhyan and was so patient with her. I loved seeing their relationship develop and seeing them grow. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait until the next book, and I look forward to Bryson’s story.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an awesome book. I loved it, I couldn't put it down. I have been waiting for Charlie's story and Kennedy did no disappoint. Rhyan and Charlies story is packed with so many twists and turns, so many OMG WTF moments and tons of laughter. I think Rhyan is my new favorite lead h ever! Her quirks were so relatable and so funny, I couldn't help but fall in love with her. Charlie, what's not to love about a tatted up and pierced bad boy???

If you want a book that will suck you in and leave you wanting more with each turn of the page, you need to read this one! I wish I could give it 50 stars!!!!

When FBA profiler Charlie asks Louisville to investigate a potential serial killer he doesn’t think it would because of Agent Rhyan Riggs that has seemed to ignore him since joining the team. But this seriously hot hacking, ladies man does not expect to find agent Riggs so irresistible. Rhyan Riggs is coming off a nasty break up with an ex that just doesn’t seem to want to go away, and a little bit of a crush on the new FBA profiler. As the two work the case in Louisville things begin to heat up and more victims are appearing.
We met Charlie in previous books and he seemed to be a little gruff and stayed to himself a little bit. He is a seriously genius hacker, and thrives on finding the bad guys using all the ways necessary. His new boss however, is making his life harder by not enabling Charlie to use all of his skillset. On top of that, he is on a case with a woman that he cannot get out of his mind.
Rhyan is a badass FBI agent on the outside that is able to put men in their place left and right, but to those close to her she struggles with anxiety. After a recent break up that has left her confidence shattered personally so she throws herself into her job. Until Charlie. This man does something to her. And as they work this new case, the two begin to build something. I really enjoyed the chemistry that these two had. I think sometimes we expect alpha men to walk in and take over, and Charlie could have totally done that. But really that is not what Rhyan needed. She needed someone to be her partner, support her and encourage her. I love how Charlie saw just how incredible Rhyan is. In turn, Rhyan supported and gave Charlie something he needed, too.
I REALLY enjoyed this book. I have been anxiously awaiting Charlie’s story, and Mitchell did not disappoint on this one. On top of Rhyan & Charlie’s story the case was fascinating to me, and I love how she includes so many technical aspects into her books! I draw you and keep you on your toes! In true Kennedy Mitchell fashion she teases us for the next book in the series….and left us wanting more! Like always I am excited for the next book in the series!
If you enjoy romantic suspense that is mission heavy but also has a fair amount of steam, then I think this book is perfect for you!

Fun fact. I loved everything about this romantic suspense. Charlie and Rhyan’s connection was instantaneous and their chemistry was off the charts. I found her vulnerability genuine and endearing and the way he treated her had me swooning. Everyone deserves a Charlie Bekham in their corner.

This was a successful collaboration between Kennedy L. Mitchell, Maxine Mitchell, and Teddy Hamilton. These talented narrators did an incredible job of bringing Kennedy’s heart racing tale to life.
