Rating 3.5, but I am rounding up because I am blown away by the fact that the author has a PhD in neuroscience, is a professor, and wrote a New York Times bestseller as a side hobby (especially when you consider that her career is focused on technical writing which is so different from creative writing).

This is my second time reading this book. I read it last year, too. This is my first Ali Hazelwood book I ever read, and after reading a few others it still remains my favorite. I really believe this book will always have a special place in my heart. I love the characters, Adam and that storyline are just amazing. And it doesn't hurt that Olive does cancer biology research like me : )

I will be just a little sad when future rom-coms I read won't be as funny as this one

I almost never read non fantasy books, but this was so freaking cute. Just an easy fun read that definitely transported me to the feels of staying up late at night reading indulgent fan fiction as a teenager. And it was impossible to stop reading it. If that's your thing, read this
