The stories Stephen King tells are good but his writing style is annoying and slow to get through.

At least there wasn’t any horror, just gross scenes.

I did have to fight my way through this book and the first half was pretty hard to get through, because I just couldn't adapt to the writing style and got confused all the time. It had like 3 different POV's onece you've got the normal story with their way and adventures. Then you always have some random informations from Gordie ( the person who's POV the book is written from) from when he is older and, but it's not really obvious so I kinda struggled with that. Then you had these two extra stories written by the older Gordie, that I just felt like they were unnecessary, I understood their purpose but it was weird. I really wanted to love this book, I got it because I am absolutely in love with the book " the outsiders" by S.E.Hinton and it played in around the se time and was faintly similar. It didn't reached my standards at all, I was in love with the time, setting and general plot and thought that you technically can't go wrong with Stephen King, but it just didn't get me. The second half of the book was definitely better, because I kinda got used to it. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I think that this is one of the few stories that a movie portrait editor better than the book did.
