I love Stephen King’s character work. There’s not much plot to this book and not even much character development, but just getting to know them and hanging out with them is enjoyable. I wish the Chico story wasn’t in there. It was unnecessary spice. Other than that it’s a very charming story. I think the King’s creative prose puts it a little above the movie.
Graphic: Child death, Cursing, Physical abuse, Sexual content, and Vomit
Moderate: Child abuse, Domestic abuse, Homophobia, and Torture
