I genuinely liked some of this author’s other work but these books are the cringey YA books that get a bad rep rightfully so.  I’m ending the series here because I can’t read any more of it.  The ending was so bad, what the hell did I even read??

I finally (kinda) finished this series! (I still have to read Sinner which I am super excited about as it's supposed to follow one of my favorite characters in the series- Isabel, I'm looking at you.) I think I'll recommend this series forever! It will rip your heart to shreds, but put it back together so beautifully. I loved the way that difficult subjects were dealt with such as depression/suicidal thoughts and how the transformation into a wolf could kind of be seen as a form of suicide. Also, the horrifying level of neglect that Grace faced, and how ultimately she came out of it so fiercely strong and independent. I had no choice but to adore her character. Honestly, all of the characters were so loveable (except Shelby, never Shelby 🖕🏻). My biggest complaint was just that I didn't get that happy, everything-is-coming-to-a-close feeling about the ending. It felt VERY rushed, and what can I say? I don't think I'm an "open ended" kinda girly in the slightest when it comes to my series endings. I just felt like I needed a bit more Sam & Grace to truly feel that my journey in Mercy Falls was over, or maybe I just have a hard time letting them go. Either way, still a great series♡
