Wrath, leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, is left with a choice. To protect and care for his dear friend's daughter or to ignore the proposition entirely. Lucky for Beth Randall, Wrath is completely enamored with her. Together they learn to love and together they fight those who are threatening the peace of the vampire world.
This book was such a nice mental break. I loved being able to go into a paranormal world and be completely absorbed by it. I enjoyed getting to read about their journey, the brotherhood, and their world. My least favorite parts were when we were in the perspectives of the lessers. I understand how it contributed to the story but preference wise I didn't care much for it.

i was pleasantly surprised by how interesting this book was. not only did i enjoy the characters, but i also enjoyed the world building. i've never read a "vampire" book quite like this and i'm not mad about it. a lot of the world building aspects are completely original to me, and i appreciated that. kudos to my momma for telling me to read this.
