I was sucked in to this series and wow! Fast paced, crazy but believable storyline that's a continuation from the first book in the series. Kendall Ryan doesn't hold back with details that's for sure. With all that being said, Cooper made me feel so sorry for him and I hope he finds his "princess" soon.

"Conflicted in the depth of her feelings for bad boy Gavin Kingsley, lonely librarian Emma Bell knows he's all wrong for her-yet the heart wants what it wants. But if she gives into his dark, erotic desires will she lose herself completely?

Passion, drama and suspense combine in the highly-anticipated conclusion to Emma Bell's love affair with the alpha and enigmatic Kingsley brothers. Secrets will be exposed, sides will be chosen, and nothing will ever be the same."-Goodreads

I really enjoyed this for the most part! The relationship develops well and the spice continues being great. There's a lot of drama surrounding Emma and, as nothing gets me going quite like whump, I loved that. The pacing was a bit weird and I wish this could've been a trilogy. Emma and Gavin don't talk about a pretty major thing before committing to each other and even though it was minor in the grand scale of the book, it still annoyed me. I'm not that invested in the other brothers but I'll keep reading the author :)

This was another Chirp audiobook deal that intrigued me enough to pick up cluelessly. This was the second in a duet and of course I didn't read the first because... clueless. The female narrator on this killed me. Her narration just sounded so whiny and juvenile. I could hardly stand it. The male narration was fantastic though.

Having missed obviously the first entire half of the story, here's what I gleaned:
Emma is a librarian who dipped her toes in the 50 shades of grey lifestyle with escort service owning businessman Gavin AND his brother Cooper, though I don't think much happened there. Gavin didn't want to commit but suddenly is all in and Emma has to make a pretty freaking obvious choice about who she'd prefer - the one that makes her feel things (Gavin) or the one who's like a bestie (Cooper). Emma is being stalked a bit and Gavin is overprotective, but still really wants to push her sexually outside her comfort zone. Spoiler alert, she's ready when he's ready to make a big commitment. How romantic.

This ends on what sounds like some indecision between the two and I'm guessing there's another book after this but I can't do it. Emma was so wildly annoying with her juvenile statements and whining. I couldn't take it.

This was a great book! I really like that the author didn't just gloss over the fact that Cooper hadn't gotten the girl of his dreams, he wanted Emma to pick him, and when she didn't, of course he was hurt... The way he acted about that heartbreak was so real, I could definitely understand his pain as I'm sure anyone who has ever been passed over did. I am so glad his story will be next and I can't wait to read it!
