easy 3.5, nothing to rave about. just some lighthearted fun. Liz annoys me at times, like did she need to be so stubborn, but i liked Raahosh and felt sorry for him with certain parts, like he was just a baby. Liked how the plot was different in the sense that they get exiled and don’t stay in the caves, thought that was a nice touch.

This was a re-read. I wasn't a fan of the kidnapping and how pushy Rahosh was, and then how
Liz changes her mind so quickly
. I also wasn't a fan of
how Vektal tried to keep Liz hostage, considering they were all in a tizzy over Rahosh kidnapping Liz
. I liked Liz's shit talking and sarcasm. Really didn't like how all the women refer to themselves as girls.

Still going strong with the second book in the series. The FMC and MMC are more grumpy but still very likable and entertaining. Once again, a good mix of plot and erotic romance, albeit the last quarter kind of veers off the path a bit and it felt pretty jarring. If not for that weird detour that goes off the tracks, I would have given this 5 stars. The FMC is also actually one of the rare times I actually like the sassy, badass FMC archetype because she's more comical than angsty like many others.

I’m honestly super surprised at how much I’m loving this weird series! Book 2 was so much better than book 1! Oh… and the spice is off the charts.
