I tried so hard to enjoy this book but the lack of character development was just too difficult to look past. There was zero remorse for what Rage did to Charlie and she just was completely ok with it. This could have been an amazing story but it fell so flat. Really disappointed in this.

Wrath of Rage by R.E. Bond is a truly dark romance between Rage and Charlie where my resolve for reading some of the chapters was tested but it definitely did not disappoint at the end.
Rage was running from his demons all his life, killing and maiming and doing the hurting so he would never again be the one hurt and Charlie saw through that. She recognized the hurt and unloved boy underneath Rage’s vicious persona. She wanted him to feel loved and cared for for once.
This wasn’t too easy for me to connect to from the beginning. I couldn’t wrap my head around Charlie’s quick forgiveness of such cruelty by Rage AND his men. To my surprise though, I was crying for Rage and Charlie by 80 percent of the book. I guess it took much longer for me to get to where Charlie was from almost the beginning. That’s how a good author works I guess. She surprises you with your own reactions and feelings.
I reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Every book in this series gets better and better! The Watch me Burn series will forever be one of my favorites.
I absolutely loved Rage and Charlie's story. This story was ruthless and brutal and had so much story packed into it I was so sad it ended.
I knew their story would be good, but I had no idea what I was in for. The entire book kept me wanting and I was no disappointed.

what a redemption.
I am ALWAYS here for a good redemption arc! & they is what we got from Rage & Charlie! Honestly their stories are both so sad & they deserve each other so much!! They were probably my favorites from the whole series! He was so psychotic but falls soft JUST for her cause she just gets him! It was the sweetest!!

I’m going to be real. I wasn’t sure if I was going to get through this book. It fûćking hurt. Charlie is so incredibly strong way more then I thought at the beginning. Rage is and will never be the good guy but I definitely understand him better. I love how R.E. Bond never once gave him a pass.

I was very excited for this book! I wanted to get to know more about Charlie and I was hoping there was some kind of redeeming quality in Rage, but man at first I thought I bit off way more than I could chew. This book definitely has some triggers for some readers and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to finish it. I am extremely happy that I did. I loved seeing how Rage and his men could not break Charlie, she kept her amazing personality throughout the book and because of that was able to reach Rage in a way no one ever could. Reading about Rage’s past explained soooo much. While it doesn’t forgive his transgressions it makes you look at him in a different way. Overall I think this turned into an amazing love story between two people who had been through hell or treated badly. I love R.E.’s story telling and her books in this series never fail to impress me. It was great to see other characters throughout the book as well!

I feel like Watch Me Burn gets darker and darker as these books go on. I wasn't too sure how I was going to like Charlie in the beginning, but the first time she cracked a joke at Rage, I knew she was going to be a favorite.
Charlie has been protected her whole life and all she wants to do is be independent, not be sheltered, not just be Archer's little sister. Her whole character grows over this book and she definitely had me rolling at some of her pick up lines.
Rage, or Angry Man as Rory likes to call him, is hard on the outside, but Charlie has cracked that exterior. He is super possessive, especially when Charlie has wormed her way under his skin. He is the ultimate alphahole and doesn't apologize for anything.
Even though Rage put her through some absolutely horrendous things, I love their chemistry, they are

Excellent Read
So, I loved the first four books in this series, and while I liked Jade’s and Lexi’s stories, this was the best one. There is a lot of darkness in this, and it could be very triggering for some. Read with caution.
That being said, the beginning had me holding my breath. I can’t wait for book 8 to learn the fate of Rory and her harem!

I have read the entire Watch me Burn series and each new book always becomes my favorite one to date. Wrath of Rage seems to be the darkest book to date and I’m not going to lie, Charlie annoyed be in the beginning and it was such a relief to see her grow as the book progressed. I never thought I could feel such empathy for Rage and it was great to finally see him in a different light and understand the trauma he has lived with. And I don’t know how, but Charlie and Rage are perfection together. What an amazing rollercoaster of a book and the mentions of prior characters is always fun! Well done!

Wrath of Rage is the seventh book in the Watch Me Burn series. And I just want to point out, Bond has already warned that this is the darkest book of the series, so HEED those warnings. If you draw the line at these TW, this may not be the book for you! Which is perfectly okay! The author has listed these TW for a reason, so please do not expect anything different!
Now, onto my review! This book focuses on Rage and Charlie. If you’ve read the series (should read in order for your benefit!) then you know that Rage doesn’t have the most “delightful” reputation.. to say the least
