Kate Bateman was already an auto-buy author for me after reading A Reckless Match. This book and trilogy caught me up on her backlist (before pre-2021, haha). Something I love about her romances is that, as fun and light-hearted many romance books are, her plots and characters are more complicated and sometimes darker, but still with a guaranteed HEA!! This book is that, with a badass strong heroine and a hero who is tough with a rough attitude, but is also completely respectful of the heroine’s boundaries and consent (something that can be sadly lacking in romances). Exciting plot, great banter, hot bedroom. Love it!!
