I read this for class, but I definitely would not have read it otherwise. I'm not one for non-fiction ... or God, for that matter. That being said, Boyle is very funny and has many anecdotes. I do like the overall message of this book, and I would recommend it to either someone religious or someone who deals with gangs (or lacks empathy for said gang members.)
Graphic: Child death, Death, Gun violence, Violence, Grief, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Drug abuse and Drug use
Minor: Addiction, Alcoholism, Child abuse, and Domestic abuse
This focuses on gang mindset, violence, and habits and how Fr. Greg Boyle helped many of these gang members and showed intense compassion and empathy and helped turn many of thier lives around.mandi4886's review
