If I could give King of Ruin more than 5 stars I would!
I can't stop thinking about KoR since I finished reading it.
I LOVE all of the characters and just Onyx Embros and EZEKIEL LIAM KANE.
Lee's writing is so captivating and intriguing and leaves you wanting more.
The story itself is incredible and told in a way that no one has seen before.
A mafia – loosely Alice-In-Wonderland inspired – romance. SIGN ME UP.
The way it's both fast and slow paced is extremely interesting and all the twists and turns that no one could see coming. Because of the way Jacquot tells a story, it's easier to visual everything happening.
The romance between Onyx and Zek is INCREDIBLE. The fact that they are BOTH switches and so intimate and vulnerable with each other despite the Romeo and Juliet take on their families and enemy view with one another makes me love them even more. Just the little moments they have together and the way I can't stop thinking about them has me in a vice.
Everyone in this duet has me loving them all and I NEED MORE.
"You were always going to be my end. Not the other way around."
" 'Almost fourteen years old and she still looks at me like a superhero.' "
" 'My captive, my whore, my queen. You're all these things. But most importantly, you are mine.' "

"'Tell me you hate me.'
"'Let go of my chains so I can show you.'" ← Onyx
