This one felt very repetitive. Maybe getting all the pieces into place for the larger battle required an entire book, but meh.

This one is difficult for me to rate. I enjoyed reading more about Iseult. Once again , it was a fact pace jam packed book full of many twists and turns!

I did feel that this stroy was more over the place and a bit more disjointed than the previous books.

I enjoyed finding out more about Iseults past and i had no idea where it was going to go , which is what i love about the Witchlands series as a whole. What you think is going to happen doesnt happena dn it is very exciting to read.

i had highs and lows and i cannot wait for what the final book has in store for us.

The reason it is a 4 star instead of a 5 star is just because overall the story and lot felt a bit more disjointed but I still thoroughly enjoyed it

Oh my god did I miss this world! Literally no one does world building like Susan Dennard. There are just so many layers to everything and having them slowly be revealed thought this series is just incredible. I am in such awe of how masterful she is at sprinkling all these little clues in that seem so innocuous and then add up to a crazy big picture. As the fifth installment into the world of the Witchlands there's little I can really say about this book that wouldn't spoil something for someone. If you're a fantasy fan and you have yet to pick up the series, stop waiting around and go to your local bookstore for a copy you won't regret it.

listen...i still love this series but i am not sure where we're going from here because it felt like this book lost the thread a little. BUT I AM STILL INVESTED.

I love this series SO much and this was another fantastic addition! As with many of the books in the series, the middle was a bit slow. I was also sometimes confused by all the paladins and mythology. But it all came together perfectly for the final third of the book, which I absolutely flew through! Witchshadow developed Iseult and Vivia in incredible ways and I was thrilled to have so much focus on two of my faves. I also kind of love that Susan was like “the men can take a seat, this one isn’t about them” You love to see it.

There were some awesome moments! But it was also a very jarring book- the POV switches weren't labeled at all, and jumping back and forth in time was very confusing. Also, I wish that there was a reference in the front of the book with the names of the paladins and exalted ones. I couldn't keep them straight.
