I really liked this. It took a while to get into, especially because of the four different points of view, and at first I wondered whether they were all needed. They were needed, but some main characters were stronger than others, so it felt like one of the four points of view was more of a convenience. The story was interesting though and took a turn that I didn't predict, which I like. And it's great to read some contemporary sapphic fiction that isn't purely romance.

🎧 It’s told from several of the characters points of view and there are different storylines to get to grips with. It started off very strong and had great potential. It really picked up about 3/4’s of the way into the read and was engaging but to this point the storyline just kinda dragged and went through the motions of each of the characters lives. I really liked Jo, Rachel and Erin as characters and I did feel sorry for Laura but really her opinions along with Kates on certain topics would have me disagreeing with them ALOT. I thought the author handled the LGBTQ storyline well but thought it got a little lost along the way whereas it could have been more of a focus.

Not for me! Very 'plot'y, and a lot of issues which didn't feel very natural.
I think I only identified with Rachel at her moment of needing to take the air to deal with huge emotion in the style of a victorian lady. 👒

I’m stopped my Scribd subscription after a year, so was under pressure to complete this before subscription expired. It’s the @another.chapter.podcast read along for the month. It’s set at the school gates and has plenty of heavy topics covered, but the descriptions of different characters and their thoughts had me in stitches, especially during the first have of the book. I didn’t think too much about the story and events, perhaps they were glossed over a bit too quick?  I didn’t mind, I really enjoyed this book. Thanks for the suggestion Claire and Rebecca.
