Det här är fjärde delen av Brigerton serien. En serie med historiska romanser skrivna av Julia Quinn. 

Denna gång om Colin, det tredje Brigerton syskonet och Penelope, en gammal ungmö. Penelope har varit kär i Colin så länge hon kan minnas men aldrig att hon skulle ha en chans. Colin har alltid sett Penelope som en vän, inte minst till hans syster Eloise men på senare tid också till sig själv. 

Detta är en fantastisk historisk romans för alla som gillar Julia Quinn. Den här boken har även lite "friends to lovers" vibes. Men denna bok har något extra för Lady Whiseldown tänker förändra sitt liv. Rekommenderar att läsa Brigerton böckerna i ordning.

I'm getting tired of reading the same story. It's a shame because Penelope and Colin were my favorite characters in the other books. This book makes both of them out of character. When did colin become cold, short-tempered, and mean? Why does JQ never write wedding scenes? I wish we got to see Penelope's family more. One of the last big points is there's a family meeting every Tuesday but this is never been established or used again in any of the books. The main conflict isn't really a problem and is solved by telling everyone anyway.
