no sabía de la existencia de esto hasta hace poco.
(menos mal que rooney hizo que connell evolucionara más en la novela!!!)

Reading this after reading Normal People gives such an interesting perspective of how Sally Rooney built and developed the characters of Connell and Marianne. I love these characters so much and how Rooney describes their experiences and thoughts, I can't get enough of them.

I can't believe I willingly did this to myself but I'll blame it on my constant state of missing them
it's safe to say that these are not them! these are not NoRmAl PeOpLe haha!
Seriously if I were to stumble upon this "first attempt" before the later-on one, I wouldn't think that Connell's character is even salvageable like WTF? Marianne is a tad bit weirder but the vibe is there.

so this came before the full-length normal people novel bc apparently sally rooney thought it'd be fun to further tell the story of damaged people in relationships with miscommunication tendencies bc representation matters and i’m here 4 it

i feel like a bad sally rooney stan for not knowing this existed until now

i don’t know if it’s the distance from when i last touched normal people, but somehow this flowed so much easier than the book itself
