I LOVED The Mirror Visitor and the Missing of Claire De Lune. From there, I feel that this story went downhill and it makes me very sad. The fourth and final installment was convoluted. It felt as if the author were trying to make a point instead of telling a story. I thought several times that she was trying to re-do His Dark Materials by Pullman. I wish she had stayed the course of the first 2 books.
Moderate: Physical abuse, Abandonment, Medical trauma, and Schizophrenia/Psychosis
