I like a good stalker romance, but he was acting like he was her man in the first few pages of the book, and she just went along with it. She was such a pushover when it came to him that it got on my nerves. She would stand her ground one minute, but cave to his actions the next. I had to drop it, because there was no way I could root for them to end up together. But I also don’t like when the man tries to control their love interest immediately, so take my review with a grain of salt. I’ve liked other stalker romances, but his motivations felt flat to me. What? He’s interested in her because she waited until everyone left before allowing herself to cry at the funeral? That’s what starts his obsession with her? And how is he set up to be this big bad vigilante basically, and yet he doesn’t properly do his research?? How do you resolve to kill people without being absolutely sure they’re as guilty as you think they are?? Lmao give me a break. And then offering to help her find her dad’s killer, which is you, would be an interesting take, but that’s when we find out he might’ve killed an innocent man. I had to let it go it was too frustrating overall.

This duology is another level of unhinged. The MMC was literally insane. Did I like him? Sometimes. But still....wow.
The story was pretty fast-paced and easy to read. It was entertaining, that's for sure, but otherwise forgettable.

Enjoyable stalker romance with simple, super satisfying delivery. The characters are a little one note for me personally, but otherwise it’s very easy to get lost in. The FMC has relatable traits and experiences, and her best friend Harper is arguably the best and most well written character in the book.

Dude, if you’re trying to hide that you’re a serial killer, maybe don’t publicly threaten to kill people every other page. Also is this man a frat boy named Kyle?? What grown man punches a hole in the wall

This story follows a young girl whose dad was murdered and now the murderer is stalking her but falling in love with her. This is a dark romance so I recommend checking out the triggers before reading this book. This duology has been on my tbr for a while as I just wanted to check out how this story plays how. Let me tell you that Bridges did a great job writing this book. The storyline was well done and I loved the conflicts in the book. The story was enjoyable as it kept me on my toes with both Calista and Hayden’s pov.
Calista is the FMC of the story who now is living paycheck to paycheck after her father has passed away. I really liked her character as she’s just a young woman trying to find the way of life. Then we have Hayden who’s a stalker but a morally grey hero. He kills those who have done women wrong and tries to get justice for them. They both had great development but questionable taste in life. There aren’t many side characters in this book but I did like Calista’s pov who I feel is a bit sus in the book. The romance is stalker who falls first, touch her & die, billionaire and slow burn.
The ending is a cliffhanger and it made me want to get into the 2nd book right away. I love the mystery suspense and I would say it’s so interesting to see the Hayden’s perspective of things. I recommend checking this book out!

It was fine. Not great, not horrible. There were some scenes that were a bit embarrassing honestly, and not in a good way.
