Omg, Omg, Omg, Omg, the ending *crying*, I swear this book was like ripping my heart out of my chest, putting it in front of me, and stabbing it a few dozen times, this was one of the best books I've read since this year started and the second one that made me feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest, it's such a beautiful and amazing book, soo deeply written and that cliffhanger, My Lord, I'm struggling to find words to describe it, it's just an amazing book, would definitely recommend it.

Asa and Nathalie's relationship, both of their past *Crying, screaming, throwing up*, they're so perfect together and OMG that one Pov that showed Juliet and her thoughts, I wanted to go inside the book and rip her apart with my bare hand.

I’ve loved Asa & Natalie all along, but I am hating the fact that he is using his friendship with Etienne a crutch in this relationship.  In this series, Etienne needs to get over himself and allow Nathalie her happiness with Asa.  These two damaged people need to find their happy and that is with each other.

On another note, Juliet is crazy.

Asa is one spineless dog. He’s out here having sex with his wife at the same time he kisses and want Natalie +  have had seggs with her too but can’t promise her forever; why?

1) because he’s married
2) he’s scared of the WMCs brother 🤡 well that’s a very convenient excuse as after years it just seems lack of want, desire and respect on his part. And the WMC is so fucking stupid she wanted to be independent, get over him blah blah only to sleep with him again while he’s married 💀

Me being enraged is not  really about cheating here, I mean serene and etienne did 😭 rather that mmc wants to be with Nat only in shadows and dark but not out and about.

However, despite the shortcoming it was better book than book 2 from the series

LOVED the present day chapters but the ones in the past really took me out of the story. Hopefully The second part of their story will be more present than past

Woow....

This story is so good... heck of a cliffhanger. I liked this better thank King of the south and that is a lot. Definitely recommend it.
