This was such a fun read! I loved that we got to meet some new faces that I’m sure will pop up in other Necessary Evils books. I also really liked that we got to see the Mulvaney’s from an outside perspective. Okay, so Dimitri is the absolute sweetest! He may be a psychopath, but he loves Arlo with every fiber of his being. And Arlo is just adorable. I love that he goes from this timid shy person in the beginning to sassing very dangerous people (Asa & August) with little thought. This was so good and I can’t wait to dive into the next book! This is getting four out of five stars.
Graphic: Toxic relationship, Injury/Injury detail, Murder, Blood, Emotional abuse, Death, Domestic abuse, Homophobia, Violence, and Physical abuse
Moderate: Forced institutionalization, Child abuse, and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Sexual violence

4.5 stars. I enjoyed this novella more than the previous 2 books. One BIG reason is that the 2 mMCs have history. The insta love was way too insta and way too intense. In Damaged, the MCs have known each other since they were 5, so when they got together it actually made sense.

This novella ties directly into the 4th Necessary Evils book and once again it's amazing.
Dimitri seems more human than the Mulvaney boys, but with his mother that's not surprising. Arlo is so stinking adorable. I love their chemistry and the "I'd kill for you" energy they both have. The tension is great between what happens with Arlos shitbag ex and then toward the end. And the ending is perfect, between the resolution of everything and the crossover into book 4.
And of course being a Novella it's a quick read and I'll definitely reread this when I reread the others.
