Table for Seven tells the story of seven friends who meet up monthly for a dinner party and to share their lives. In a story that takes place over the course of a year, we see couples break up, get together, and reevaluate their relationships; in short, life happens. Though, more women’s fiction than romance, Table for Seven will likely appeal to romance readers nonetheless as there is a romance subplot and Gaskell has a way of bringing these seven characters to life and making you care about each of them. Both newcomers and fans of Whitney Gaskell’s work will likely enjoy Table for Seven, not only for the compelling story but also for the delectable recipes that are included! There were more than a few that I want to try myself!
