Who doesn't love a good romance. Slow burn, friends to lovers, and all the good feels. Enjoyed watching Hannah explore and accept her full independence. Fun holiday romance that also tackled some tough topics!

Haley Cass has done it again!

This book doesn't quite evoke the same level of emotion that Those Who Wait did but the author still hits the mark. This book disguises itself as a light hearted Christmas novel but it really isn't one. Its far more than that. It’s a whole-year romance novel that gives you the full package.

Caroline Parker is a divorce lawyer who doesn't believe in love and hates Christmas because she was dumped 3 times during the holiday season. So when gorgeous Hannah Dalton, the wife of one of her colleIt’ses approaches her on Christmas Eve, she doesn't think her luck will change...

I normally don’t like single POV romance novels, but What sets this novel apart is its authentic portrayal of modern romance and the complexities of relationships. Haley Cass skillfully explores themes of vulnerability, trust, and self-discovery as Caroline and Hannah navigate their budding romance amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.

One of the highlights of "When You Least Expect It" is the chemistry between the two protagonists. Caroline and Hannah’s dynamic and witty banter keeps readers engaged from start to finish, while their emotional journey tugs at the heartstrings and leaves a lasting impression.

Haley creates interesting, lovable, sometimes insecure, and charming characters with little quirks that you can't help but love.

The dialogue is serious, funny, confrontational, flirtatious, and everything in between. The attraction and chemistry between Caroline and Hannah are palpable and one scene, in particular, is super hot, even though nothing happens - wow - you just have to read this book.

The whole atmosphere of the story is engaging from A to Z and wraps us like in a warm blanket on a cold winter evening.

A wonderful, slow-burn romance with small obstacles, no big dramas, but all the more emotion, and a cute little girl named Abbie.

I was hooked from the first page. Haley Cass has once again proven herself to be a damn fine writer of romance. Everything she write ls is magic to me and I urge anyone to grab a Haley Cass novel for pure sapphic bliss.

this was almost a 5-star read but unfortunately i'm both a sucker for good dialogue punctuation ("Like this," she said. not "Like this." She said.) and i felt a bit uncomfortable with the relationship starting off as lawyer and client, even if it was a pro bono case. kids in books can also be a tricky thing to handle, but abbie was fun and not obnoxious so that was a plus
