I loved this book! The best book of the series so far. Lena is one of my favorite characters. So happy to see a reappearance. Just have to say though "werebear" sounds like "Care Bear" too funny! Laughed my bum off!

Ok, NOW we're talking - we have a larger cast of characters in place and each one eventually grows in depth. We have multiple plot twists, a believable amount of danger, and high stakes. This is the turning point for Fablehaven where things kick up a notch and I'm now truly invested as a reader. Best one yet.

This series keeps getting better even though I thought it wasn't even possible anymore!

I’m continuing to love my reread of this series! I feel like this book is a huge turning point where the main storyline really picks up and gets intense. It’s awesome reading it back through because I’m picking up on sooo much foreshadowing of things to come!! Also the nostalgia of reading back through a favorite childhood series is unmatched

Quite possibly my most favorite book in the series so far. This series just keeps getting better and better. I think the biggest strength of this book is how the story unfolds with just the right pace, suspense, and action. So many things happened in this book alone - a suspicion is cleared, a new set of characters is introduced, Seth and Kendra's characters are given more depth as they individually explore their unique abilities, etc - and I feel like in the next two books, things are gonna get even more intense. Also, I'm starting to grow on Seth after hating him so much for his recklessness in the first book. Each character has developed so much since the first book. Gaaah, I'm so in love with this series.

PS thank you Beryl Andrea for introducing this series to me. I MISS YOU SO MUCH, YOU DORK
