I had a bit of hard time keeping my attention with this story. I look forward to the next the book, but am going to take a little break for a maybe a few months.

Hamish Macbeth had to travel 120 miles to see a dentist for a much needed visit. Unfortunately, he finds that the dentist is dead and no one seems to be sorry. I wasn't feeling well this afternoon and reading this book was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon on the couch.

3.5 stars, really. Another cozy murder mystery and I like the characters. I didn’t rate it higher, because certain other things going on for Hamish didn’t make it end as “feel good” as it could have done. However, even that points to things to come.

Review - The mystery was quite good in this one. I didn't guess who dunnit. It was very clever. There were lots of red herrings, and I thought I knew who dunnit but then I was proven wrong every time. I hated most of the characters in this book. The only ones I didn't have a problem with were Hamish Macbeth and Jimmy Anderson. I really loved the interactions between these two in particular.
