A really light and fun superhero read that especially shines when it focuses on the adorkable romance between Archer and Faith.

Collects Faith (2016) Vol 1 #1-4, and Faith (2016) Vol 2 #1-8
I guess I sort of read this series backwards, because I read it before Habringers (or any other Valiant universe books). But even without that context, this can function as a standalone story pretty much.
Going solo in LA as a writer for a Buzzfeed-like website, moonlighting as a superhero, Faith takes on alien invasion threats and ex-boyfriend drama and super-villians. The Harbinger's world can be a dark one, but Faith as a characters stands out for her persistance in optimism and joy. Sure, she can be insecure and scared, but she also loves herself, loves helping people, and has, well, faith in a better future. She's a great character, and great representation. The story itself of this run feels a bit low-stakes and fluffy, but cozy low stakes isn't necessisarily a bad thing.
