I really wanted to like this book, because I loved Strange Love. I am going to keep reading the series to see if I enjoy more of it, but I found this book to have odd pacing, the characters grew attached too quickly to be realistic, and there were some darker elements that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t necessarily need to exist.

really cool concepts, but the pace is so fast you don’t get to explore any of them and the author hides info or directs the characters away from reasonable thought processes “just because” as a way of maintaining suspense
