This is maybe the first book on Goodreads that I added to my to-read shelf, and I've been trying to get to it since.

description

It was awesome getting into something more serious for a change, and I loved it. It's beautifully written, and the story sticks with you, it's quite captivating.
And by finishing this book, I'm also ticking off my first book from Oprah's Book Club list. Anyone else who might be interested, can find the list here.

It was a real feelgood story. I really liked Novalee, she had a sweetness about her that I really liked. She was in the worst position ever, abandoned in a strange town, pregnant and with nothing. Yet she still managed to be okay and make lemonade out of lifes lemons.

I found all the unfortunate events that happened to Willy Jack hilarious!

All in all I enjoyed this book.

I loved rooting for the main character throughout the whole book!
