“You beg her to kiss you, she beg me to fuck her. We are not the SAME” finalmente descobri de qual livre é essa frase, e man oh man, it didn’t disappoint me! Oh my, Tao perturbadoramente perfeito, o enredo, o desenvolvimento dos personagens, aprofundamento na relação, o jeito que eu chorei em TODAS as partes do pai dela. Olha sério! Apaixonadíssima nesse livro!

Long and with difficult themes. Overall good but not “enjoyable” per se.

I loved this!! I know there’s some mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed this book. I love the narrators that were chosen for this, as well. I laughed and I cried and it hit so much harder than I expected it to.

A roller coaster of emotions!

WOW. I have no words.

A story about love, forgiveness and friendship. The main characters completely made me fall in love instantly, Lennon is absolutely bad ass & Phoenix is the haunted bad boy musician.

Not only does this story have amazing main characters with a beautiful relationship but also side characters who you can’t help but fall in love with a lap. My only complaint is the ending because I NEED MORE of Phoenix and Lennon!

This book began as a 5 star read. I loved the plot of them meeting in high school and then being forced back together years later. I thought the conflict over the song was really well done.

It lost me in all the back and forth though. She cares about how he’s feeling, she hates him again, she’s going to pretend to love him just to hurt him later, now she’s aching when he goes through something tough.

Also, [SPOILERS] just way too many extra plot points. The long lost sister/mom, Memphis and the reality star, George sending pics to the tabloids, etc. by the end I was just begging for this book to be over.

This started off really good, held my attention and the characters were all really easy to love! When they did the flash forward time, I hated how much hate and back and forth lasted for so long. I understood the anger from Lennon and why she was so hurt, but man she held on to that for a long time.
Overall, the book was good, held my attention. The characters are great, especially when you get the friends that bring the humor.
I felt like they rushed the ending during the epilogue. I felt like we should have been given more, given the plan Lennon told to Skylar, I didn't think we really got a chance to see that plan unfold. I felt like there should have been more.

An enemies to lovers, second chance romance, The Words is about Lennon and Phoenix. In high school, Lennon was asked to tutor Phoenix, the bad boy. Lennon finds out that Phoenix actually has dyslexia and tries to help him. The two become friends quickly and Lennon tells Phoenix that she writes songs. Phoenix, who is in a band, is very interested. Lennon falls for Phoenix, but Phoenix breaks her heart. Fast forward, Phoenix is a famous musician and Lennon is hired as his babysitter. Things get steamy from there. Overall, the book was long, but I LOVED it. My heart broke so many times for Lennon and I was so happy to see that she finally got a happy ending.
