Rudy and Mik were very cute, and now I have a sudden yearning for Bigfoot decorations.

Amy Aislin's christmas stories always fill me up with warmth. Get Frosted is another great example of that.
I'm also obsessed with the shared universe of Christmas Falls and will definitely read more of the series by the other authors.

In this book, we get the sugary sweet and heartwarming story of Mik and Rudy. They have been hockey rivals in the NHL, and now they are rivals as pub manager's in the winter holiday obsessed little town of Christmas Falls. It's quite obvious from the start, though, that the rivalry actually hides deep affection and attraction on both men's side.
Mik and Rudy team up to plan a party together and coach a hockey team to help out Mik's brother, Josh, who's also Rudy's best friend.
They spend fun Christmas preparation time together and let their feelings free.

I loved the vibes of this story. Just like a small town holiday romance movie, it brings cheer and holiday spirit while dazzling us with a sweet romance.
Mik instantly became my favourite with his larger than life personality and silly humour and eclectic taste in christmas decoration. He's sweet and caring while also being goofy and loveable. Having been living as Josh Gilmore's little brother forever, it's not easy for him to stand out and find his own thing. It was nice to watch him find a way to be truly himself.
My heart also instantly went out for Rudy. He's grown up moving around, never knowing permanence, and he doesn't know how to settle down. He's itching to move, and when a job offer comes along, he thinks he's ready. But leaving Mik and Josh and the town is harder than he thinks. He's struggling to figure out what he wants is heartbreaking, and I shed a few tears for him.

The funnest part of the book is definitely all the christmas activities. Holiday shopping, christmas trivia night, cranberry cocktails, and christmas decorations. If the holiday vibes haven't caught you yet, they will definitely come after reading this book.

The town, the people, Mik and Rudy's family are just the cherry at top.

Reading this was so much fun!

*I received a complementary copy of this book to share my honest thoughts about it.*

My favourite of the series so far - it might be Xmas but that little bit of angst, a little bit of hockey and two amazing characters in there just made it an extra special read! And who couldn’t love the little gran in there - I love a great secondary character and a nosy and meddling granny is always a good one!

A fabulous read!

❄️Get Frosted is the third book in the multi author Cristmans Falls series. Christmas Falls is a small town with enough Christmas spirit to fill a whole year’s worth of Hallmark’s movies.
Mik and Rudy have been rivals their whole careers, and after that they end up managing “rival” pubs in the Christmassy Christmas Falls, but maybe, between competing for the best Christmas decorations and a Bigfoot, something could change…

OH MY GOD. This was just so cute! The Christmas magic that bleeds from the lines it’s just amazing. Never have I felt Christmas magic in the first weeks of November haha. Once again this proves that I’d read whatever comes out of Amy’s mind. Rudy and Mik are two complementary puzzle pieces and they’re just made for each other. I loved the evolution from rivals (but not really) to each other’s homes. Their banter and the competition to who had the better Christmas decorations was just so funny (I found the Swiffer incident quite funny right up until Rudy opened up about it) and I loved the whole “I’m so mad at you for doing something stupid that could have taken you away from me” thing, I’m really weak for them. 10/10 read, I had so much fun reading it!

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

“Why do you call me that?” Mik asked softly. “No one else does.”
“Maybe that’s why,” Rudy admitted. “Maybe it’s so I can have a part of you no one else has.”
