Oh my gosh the DRAMA! Like these two! Also if you're against cop romances Mac barely does any work as sherif, so it's not like a big cop romance.

I loved the first in this series, although they are tough to read at times. The books are so filled with emotion. And that's not a bad thing. This is a strong 4.5 on the stars for me, and it didn't get a 5 because I thought it drug out just a little too much on rehashing the past. But that's on me... I don't like to rehash if I don't have too. I am a HUGE fan of second chance romances and this one scored high marks for it. I really enjoyed learning why Mac & Mia were so angry at each other, and when they finally figured out they were duped? Well that was great. I found myself yelling at both of them! When was the last time you talked to the characters in a book you were reading? Yep, it's just that intense.

Mac and Mia's story is a second chance romance that was a long time coming and for a small town, Jaded Hollow is certainly full of secrets. While ten years going by without anyone finding out what broke this pair up requires a bit of suspension of belief, Mac and Mia are so good together that you can't help but root for them. The story is well-written and the author has a writing style that quickly pulls you into the lives of the people of Jaded Hollow. From Bailey's continuing to come out of her protective shell, to Nick dealing with his loss and Andrew's quirky, fun-loving flirtations, even the secondary characters are endearing and interesting, making this reader want to know more about them. Mac and Mia's journey back to each other is filled with angst that is quite dark in its nature, but with love and trust, there comes a ray of light in that darkness. Reclaim Me is more than just a romance, it's a tale of family, love, loss, and finally hope.

I really liked that Mac and Mia finally reconnected. I just couldn't get over the whole fact that it took 10 years. And that he married someone who raped him. Most of the story was just not believable. I can't wait to read about Andrew though!

4.5 stars - I really did enjoy this second-chance, romantic suspense.

Whilst both Mia and Mac appear in Shatter Me, this book can be read as a stand alone. I liked Mia in book #1 and really wanted to find out what had happened to cause the animosity between her and Mac. This story did not disappoint AT ALL.

In typical second chance fashion the split was based on a misunderstanding. However I could totally understand why Mia had drawn that conclusion. I couldn't understand, at first, why Mac waited so long to explain the truth to Mia but the reason becomes apparent further into the story. It doesn't quite explain why Mac hadn't made a move in the 4 years prior to when the story is set, and that is the only thing that didn't quite gel for me.

Whilst I'm going to describe the book as being split into two parts, it most certainly doesn't feel like that. Rather it is one seamless whole with different elements intricately woven together into one wonderful story. The 'second-chance' part is dealt with first, although hints of the suspense part also occur at the same time. The push and pull between Mac and Mia, until we got to the truth, felt so real and believable. Once Mac got to give his side of the story it still wasn't plain sailing, there is still no guarantee of a future together for them. The threat and suspense element really emerges once Mia and Mac start building bridges.

I can't even begin to introduce some of the plot twists without giving out major spoilers. What I will say is that there are several incidences where Mia's safety is threatened. There are some jaw-dropping reveals of characters who are involved and why. Then there is the rug being pulled out from under you moment when ALL truths are finally revealed. Whilst you might guess a general direction of where the plot is headed, the actual journey there and the vehicles you will use to get there are totally unexpected!

I was gripped from beginning to end by this book. I loved how important the supporting characters are within this book. I'm looking forward to Andrew's story.

Kind of repetitive, but for some reason I cannot put her books down. Usually only takes me a day or two to get through it. I liked Mack and Mia’s story. Just a little repetitive with the whole guilt thing. But overall, I liked it.

Method: ebook

Rating: 4/5 stars

H rating: 4.5/5 - Mac. I honestly really felt for him..he was a victim and did not deserve all that happened. Only wish? He would have gone to her sooner and tried harder to have her listen. Not attempt it, but just MADE her listen.

h rating: 4.5/5 - Mia. Having been a victim of such terrible circumstances, and losing the love of your life made it so you closed yourself off. Understandably so. It still would have been a bit more of a mature thing to listen. Yes it all sucked, but all of that time lost..*sigh*

Drama: 4/5 - Did not see the brother twist there, but man did that explain some stuff. Good amount of drama..but having read a few of this authors books, that pretty much the norm, and I really love it.

Thoughts: Another great story to the series. Cannot wait for the next one!

Summary Paragraph:
A HUGE Misunderstanding tears these two lovers apart 10 years ago. Can they find each other again or will life and love pass them by?

What I liked/Didn’t Like: OMG is what sums this book up. The anger that tore them apart all over a stupid misunderstanding made this book awesome to read.

I really liked this one. The only negative thing that makes it a 4 star instead of a 5 star, is the fact that it took 10 YEARS for the truth to FINALLY come out!
