It was super wild! I struggled a bit with the head skipping/ POV switches that came with minimal warning and full disclosure - probably should have read book one... BUT it was still a darker Christmas delight! Matt has ZERO chill about how he loves Kate and I am a sucker for those sort of heroes. Kate is also so quietly tough. And her doubts feel real despite the ghosty storyline.

Review: The Twilight Before Christmas by Christine Feehan: Loved Loved Loved Loved (ok you get the picture) this book! I think Christine did a wonderful job of mixing Christmas/Romance/Paranormal/Caring/Family into a book that you did not want to put down until you were done. This was about the 2nd sister Kate who has the ability to calm people by talking to them and also the ability to travel to the shadow world. Her romance is one that has been in the making since she was 15 and though they have known each other forever this is no easy ride. You get caught up on all her sisters and you finally get to glimpse a little of each of their personalities. It was a great book!

So good!

The Twilight Before Christmas is Book 2 in the Sea Haven: Drake Sisters series by Christine Feehan @authorcfeehan. This is a re-read of the series for me. Kate is the 2nd oldest daughter of the sisters & a successful author. Matt is the local carpenter she hires to renovate her new house. Matt has had a crush on Kate for years & now that she is back to stay he is determined to make his move. There is a darkness that is released from a burial crypt in Kate’s house that she & her sisters need to lock down again. Kids & adults are having nightmares about it. Kate & her sisters banish the entity. Kate & Matt fall in love

This book was both poorly written and poorly narrated. How many times can an author use the word malevolent in one story? Dialogue was too formal; not at all natural sounding. Narrator has a poor cadence which doesn't help the already stiff story.

I absolutely loved this. I settled down last night to only start it but ending up staying awake half the night to finish it. Matt is an absolute dear to read about. He is such a gentleman but at the same time, he is very cheeky. Just lovely! I also really liked Kate.

The whole main story was very interesting and I think it played out at a great pace, and had a great ending.

The whole book had exactly what I liked about the first, but was longer - which is a definite good thing!

Read this before, but didn't have it in my collection. Love this series, light-hearted but sweet.
