Excellence romance Greek mythology smut book. I loved Persephone, loved Hades, hated everyone all up in their business. I loved the plot and the dynamic. Also had the perfect amount of smut for me. It was a good storyline and easy read. Iām going to listen to the next in the series.

I had several friends that had read this series and enjoyed it, and I love mythology, so it seemed like a good match.Ā
I really enjoyed the way the gods are modernized and the twist given to their classic personalities.Ā
The intimacy is written to be a little ā¦. I donāt know itās like an odd intersection between rather graphic and full of euphemisms (lots of ābundle of nervesā and āher coreā instead of naming the anatomy. It works, but it isnāt the most sophisticated way to handle the scenes. Most of the novel felt like solid young adult fiction, but those scenes were a little more like fanfic. Fanfic is great, Iāve read plenty, it just has a certain audience. If you are used to different styles of romance novels that might not appeal.Ā

I donāt love traditional Greek mythology as I always find it dry and boring to read. I bought this book based on the cover, as I am wont to do with my book selections, and didnāt know it was a Hades & Persephone retelling. When I started reading, I wasnāt sure if I would finish (I never DNF). This book is so engaging, however, that after the third chapter I was hooked. The characters are delightful even at their worst. The world created in the novel is fantastic and beautiful. The love story is sweet and sexy, if a bit predictable. The sex scenes are a bit repetitive but still have some elements of spice that are delectable. I canāt wait to buy the rest of the books in this series.Ā
