i felt like this was enemies to lovers in an extreme way. persephone was bothersome at times cause her anger didn't make sense, and i didn't like this version of Hades being secretive or manipulative. i liked the girlfriends a lot but this wasn't a positive love story to me

Excellent pacing, fun characters, and some fun twists and turns. This story was not all too predictable at all.
It kind of gave Lucifer (TV show) vibes as well as Tangled (the movie).

I wanted to like this more than I did. It's spicy and definitely a cool take with the modern myth retelling. I think what I didn't care for was after the spice started the plot kinda faded away. If it wasn't for the bonus content I'm not sure the book would have turned around for me.

While listening to this audiobook I have realised two things:
- I LOVE audiobooks
- I am incapable of listening to audiobooks in public because I can actually not control my emotions for the life of me
I love Greek mythology so retellings are on my fave type of readings, and this one did not disappoint. As far as retellings go, I really liked how it was approached and how many different Greek elements were added. And let me tell you the spice was SPICY. The dirty mouth on Hades was almost too much 🥵🥵
If you are in need for a spicy Hades x Persephone retelling then this one is for you. I’m so happy that I found this audiobook in Libby and I am excited to listen to the rest of the series 🤭
