Cesca has never forgiven actor Sam for leaving just before opening night of her play, causing it to fold. She hasn't written anything in 6 years, hopping from one simple job to another in London, blaming her misfortune on the now Hollywood heartthrob.
When her godfather arranges for her to stay in a beautiful Italian villa so she can write another play, she is upset and annoyed when the son of the house arrives unexpectedly. Yes, Sam! They trade insults and neither intends to leave. But there is something more between them... will it end at the end of summer?
I liked the banter between Sam and Cesca and their blossoming love. The story did lag a bit in the middle before taking speed again. Both characters have their faults and insecurities but fit together. I look forward to reading more about Cesca's 3 sisters.
