Caleb has secrets from his past. The biggest secret is the girl, Kendall, who he lost, but finds many years later and hires as his assistant. She doesn’t recognize him right away, but starts having suspicions that Caleb isn’t who he says he is.
In this book we find out how much heart Caleb really has. He is so sweet on Kendall. I think every woman wants a Caleb in their life who just wants them to be happy no matter what. I know I do!
Kendall is a spunky girl with a tragic and dangerous past. It’s easy to connect with her and want her to find her happily ever after with Caleb.
This book has fewer editing/grammar issues than the first book in the series, which makes it easier to read. Yay!!
I liked how the author showed a little of Lana and Oliver and the budding romance between Lucas and Elise. I’m excited to read the next book and see what happens with them!
Are you wondering about the sex? Well, there are a few sex scenes. One big one and maybe another smaller one or two. That seems to be the typical MO of this author. I feel like there could have been another scene at the end of the book.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
With everything going on in this world, and finding a new normal, I fell behind in my reviews and my normal fell apart. I stopped using my planner specifically for my blog/instagram/reviews and just utterly failed. So here I am, catching up on life and still struggling to find my new normal. If you are struggling too, just know I am here for you. I understand and I hope you find the normal you’re searching for.
Resisting the CEO is the second book in the Dirty Hot Resistance series and focuses on Caleb and Kendall. I absolutely love Kendall. She is my favorite. I loved Lana, but Kendall is seriously my other half. I felt every struggle, all of her pain. I felt it so deep in my soul. I didn’t feel the same with Caleb. My connection to him wasn’t as deep as I would have liked it to be. But I adore this series just the same.
There were some small grammar and spelling errors that kind of caught me off guard. If you ask my husband, I am really really OCD about those types of things so I notice them, even when they are the smallest of details. It didn’t throw off the story, but it did make me take a second look because I could see it.
This adorable office romance definitely had me hooked in, in every single way. Kendall and Caleb’s story is one for the record books and I truly cannot wait for the next story in the series – Lucas! I’ve been waiting for him!

Resisting the CEO was a fun book. The charming way Caleb pursues Kendall has her head spinning. She is one of the few people that can stand up to Caleb and not be afraid.
This series is a great read. The four alpha men are strong yet tender for their women. The characters cross in all of the books. Each however can be read as a standalone with a HEA. I would love to revisit them all again down the road.
