I received this book as part of a book exchange and I’m very happy that it ended up being a lot different than what the title suggests. However, while Dr. Alexander’s experience was enlightening to hear about, the (unsurprising) heavy medical jargon is what made it a little difficult for me to read at times (a personal preference). I think if I listened to this on audiobook I would have had a better experience.

If you're interested in NDE's (near death experiences) start with this one!!

This NDE is different as it confronts different kinds of NDE's, disbelief, science, reality, religion, and family.

Dr. Alexander wasn't a Christian before his NDE but he is a neurosurgeon. Before his NDE he believed the stories he heard were just the brain comforting itself but after his ultra-real trip to Heaven he dives into NDE's and how they truly relate to science.

After Dr. Alexander's NDE he is constantly aware of how much God loves him and others, though his beliefs aren't all biblically accurate he comes away from his NDE with beautiful, biblical revelations about God and Creation.
